New England Aquarium Animal Care Apprenticeship

The Seek2Sea Apprenticeship offers a paid 22-week work-based learning experience to prepare early career individuals to enter the marine science field in animal care.

The New England aquarium is offering an apprenticeship to anyone over the age of 18 from the greater Boston area! The program offers a unique job opportunity that has apprentices do multiple things, including learning husbandry and enrichment techniques, how to maintain life support systems that keep the animals healthy, and general exhibit maintenance.

You will get to work with fish, reptiles, marine mammals, and more. If you have a love for marine creatures, this could be the program for you!

The goal of Seek2Sea is to reduce barriers to entry-level animal care employment opportunities in marine science for the BIPOC community of Greater Boston by establishing a career pathway that combines hands-on training, professional development, and marine science learning opportunities.
