WaterWORKS is a hands-on career showcase connecting high school students to Blue Economy and STEM career opportunities in our region.

At WaterWORKS, college-bound, certificate-bound, and workforce-bound high school students experienced first-hand the many Blue Economy jobs and career paths available to them through demonstrations, exhibits, interactive displays, and hands-on activities.

Big Blue Conference is the Cape Cod Blue Economy Foundation's annual industry conference curated to spark conversations and inspire actions relevant to the vitality of Cape Cod and the surrounding Blue Economy.

On Wednesday, May 26, 2027, we make our way to Provincetown for one BIG day of lessons learned from the BLUE depths. The 2027 Big Blue Conference speakers will inspire us with tales of collaboration, adaptation, reinvention, and growth. We'll explore how we have accomplished so much together, how successfully did the hard things we couldn't have on our own, and how we can keep the momentum as we face future challenges.

Wave Makers is a collaboration between the Cape Cod Blue Economy Foundation, Inc. and Center for Community and Professional Education (CCAPE) to address the challenges and build opportunities experienced by Blue Economy employers, and which align with the Cape Cod Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy's related initiatives.

Wave Makers forum discussions are informed by employers working in deep blue industries. The forum allows participants to focus on one challenge at a time, to dive deep during that day's session, and to learn directly from their peers.

The Cape Cod Blue Economy Foundation is excited to introduce you to our latest project: Coastal Characters. This storytelling podcast brings local folks to the mic to share their personal journeys and favorite ice cream flavors. In each episode, we’ll talk with entrepreneurs, scientists, and community leaders about how Cape Cod’s ocean shapes their work, their challenges, and their successes.

Cape Cod Blue Economy Foundation, Inc's first output was a detailed Implementation Plan in 2016. The report outlined the work of the Foundation and defined how we view "blue economy" in our region. The report is currently being updated in 2026 to reflect the changes our regional blue economy has seen over the past decade as well as demonstrate future work goals.

A detailed economic data report requires hours of dedicated attention, long term collaboration, and considerable attention to detail. Supporting this work helps us tell our region's story, helps us show the rest of the world where Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucke, and Plymouth stand on the global stage of blue economy, and helps us direct our next actions.
